Happy independance day, I would say that I in fact would rather live freely in poverty than to spend the most finite amount of time as a slave. I believe the Hatian reclamation of freedom served as an inspiration for similar but not as successful reclamations in the U.S. Thank you Haiti for inspiring us black folk in the states hopefully one day we will return the favor.
