Clearly no child can choose how they get here. However, bastard is just another way of saying illegitimate. It may be used less often in this context but it means the same thing. The last time i checked children born out of wedlock were just that, "illegitimate" and as i noted in my post, my anger is not at them, it's at people who go ahead and have children out of wedlock under the circumstances that i referred to above.
Their illegitimate behaviour is what's to blame, not an innocent child who is the result of it.
