At age 3, children can definately learn a lot behavior from parents, especially if it's directed at them to learn it. That can be positive behavior or negative. Racism can manifest in simply refusing to play with children of a certain race which would be noticable in a class of pre-schoolers who will play with each other regardless of race or gender.
