I'm only going to comment here cuz I'm bored. My sister and I had a conversation about this the other day. She's just coming out of a relationship and she was telling me that she had actually contemplated not being with another Black man. She was totally off of us cuz she was sick of the dumb stuff. Sick of the games and the stupidity. She said she was serious too, that from this point on it was going to be all about white men and hispanic men and Italian men. (Don't remember her saying anything about Asian men though.) Black men need not apply. But she told me that she finally had to snap out of that and not fall into that negative mindset. She was smart enough to recognize that games and negativity in relationships are rampant in any racial group, not just us. So what kind of sense does it make to run from the problems of your own and deal with the problems of others? It doesn't so she put that decision to death.
I have had my share of negative Black women. No one likes being f***ed over in any relationship and I am no exception. But I've worked with white females before and one thing about white folks in general, THEY LOVE TO RUN THEIR MOUTHS! Oh my lawd, them folks can talk and they tell ALL their business. I'm like do you realize you at work? How can you just feel so comfortable coming to work telling all yo business? I keep a lid on most of my ish even when it comes to family, I can't imagine going to work and telling it all. Geez. But anyway, my point is in listening to them I get an un-media influenced view of what white people's relationships are like. Guess what? IT AIN'T PRETTY. I don't hear anyone being treated like princesses or treating their men like kings. Games are played, faithfulness is something rare. And when they seem as if they are admiring Black men, it's never for the real positiveness that we can bring to a relationship. They are all about wanting to know if it's true if we're well endowed or great in bed or what it's like to be with a drug dealer or someone from the hood. And I'm supposed to run away from Black women to get with that??? Please.
Bruh, if you gonna crossover be my guest. Hope you find whatever it is you looking for.
